We’ve both always believed that , we just never thought it would be us.

After over 8 years together and our love growing deeper in so many ways, we are not “just a phase.”

😭 Feeling ready for the rain to stop 😭

This past Friday we had to say goodbye to our sweet kitty boy sooner than expected. 😮‍💨

After multiple rounds of meds and countless appointments, Brownie Sundae’s body & soul were ready to rest in peace.

For the first 8 years of his life he was used for breeding by his previous owners. He was confined to a room with 1 other male cat and removed only to be bred. With the encouragement of a friend, the owners surrendered him to a nearby shelter.

At that time, his toe nails pierced through the pads of his toes. The vet shaved off 1 pound of matted hair from his body, which obstructed his bowels, being entangled with matted f***s. 🥺

It was clear he had hardly any human interaction, and he spent the next year in the shelter until he was ready for adoption.

I felt he came to us in perfect timing. ♥️

He was truly like a feral cat when he got home. VERY high stress, anxious and unsure of everything, every sound & everyone.

Through the 3 years we got to spend with him, we watched him grow into a brave, sweet & trusting kitty with an ongoing high anxiety & stress issue, understandably.

He loved being outside & we love taking him on our adventures, showing him a new way of life. We spoiled him in so many ways and loved seeing him experience the good things in life.

We will forever miss our Brownie Sundae, Brown Brown, Brownsies, Brrrrrown, Brrrrt Brrrrrrrrt (think Cardi B 😅).

🏹💫 I used to make choices based off what other people expected of me, even as an adult. Not because they necessarily told me I had to, but because I felt the need to.

I NEVER made brave decisions. Like ever.

During that time in life, I had my palm read for the first time. Although I believe in the art of palm reading, I wasn't sure if the person I chose would be reputable at their craft.

Turns out- EVERYTHING related to my past was accurate. Everything about me and my personality, dead on. But one thing...

I was told that I am a business owner to my core. And I laughed.

Not because I didn't want to be, but because I didn't have the strength to. I felt inadequate in myself, layered with feeling like no one else believed in me either.

I had told a past boss that I wanted to own my own business someday and they laughed in my face. 🖕

⬆️ One of my worst fears played out the very first time I expressed wanting to chase my .... Looking like a joke. 😳

🐎 Fastforward-

Every day I thank the universe for a partner who sees me and helps me see myself. ❤

For being so unsure of myself and feeling so powerless, being a business owner is the most Brave thing I feel like I've ever done.
