A few reminders on donations...
ITEMS WE ACCEPT:
- Clothing (men’s, women’s and kid’s). Clothing should be folded, packed in large plastic bags or containers that you don’t need back. Please don’t donate clothing that is dirty, stained, pet hair, to***co smell, torn, worn or out of date.
- Kitchen items, Small kitchen appliances in working condition, tableware, table cloths, napkins, placemats, hot pads, etc.
- Home décor that is clean and in good condition, current styles
- Artwork, pottery, glassware
- Linens, including bed and bath, clean and in good condition
- Toys that are unbroken, complete, in clean, working condition
- Books (small amounts, hardcover, current), games, puzzles
- Some small pieces of furniture (check with volunteer staff)
- Seasonal décor
- Office supplies
ITEMS WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
- Most baby equipment (car seats, bounce seats, potty chairs, etc.) due to recalls
- Hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, chemicals)
- TV’s, microwaves, larger appliances, non-working small appliances, computers, printers
- Power tools
- Wheelchairs, crutches, other medical equipment
- Used bed pillows, electric blankets without working cords
- Wire hangers
- Large furniture
- Curtain rods, blinds
- Rugs (unless they are in very good, clean condition)
- Large sporting goods (bikes, ski’s, etc.)
- Books such as reference, school, religious, encyclopedia, etc
- Broken laundry baskets, bins; Broken or chipped glassware; Disposable plastic storage containers
- Food or personal care items
We have limited space in our shop. During the summer months we are able to expand to our garage space and can accept things like small sporting goods, craft supplies, yard and garden items, larger toys, home improvement items, small tools. If you have questions on items you would like to donate, speak with one of our volunteer staff.
DONATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS
Keep in mind that anything that we are unable to sell has to be disposed of and that means more work and cost and less that we are able to contribute back to the community.
