HE BUILT A PADDLE BOARD FROM SCRATCH!

Watch a wooden paddle board come to life with George Vondriska George Vondriska & Woodworkers Guild of America WoodWorkers Guild Of America 🏄‍♂️🪵

George takes us through the build, from selecting and cutting the wood to gluing up the pieces and shaping the board. Then it’s time for one of our favorite parts - sanding it smooth with SurfPrep!

This shortened video gives you a look at the craftsmanship behind the project and how SurfPrep helps George sand and finish the wood as the paddle board takes shape.

You can watch the FULL BUILD over at WWGOA.com

A huge thank you to George & WWGOA for sharing this incredible project with us!

Your round-overs deserve ProFoam ♥️

10mm is firm enough to handle burn from a laser or router but soft enough to hug the curves without changing the shape.

Lyle, owner of Applegate’s Custom Countertops, demonstrates how to remove pulled seams, glue residue, scratches, and surface damage using SurfPrep abrasives.

You’ll also see the SurfPrep 6” Electric Ray Sander and POV-8 Dust Extractor in action for cleaner sanding and a more consistent finish.

3-STEP MATTE FINISH SYSTEM

Optional Prep Step: White Lightning 150 Grit Removes glue residue, pulled seams, deep scratches, and initial surface damage.

Step 1: Blizzard Film 220 Grit Removes the sanding marks left by the initial prep step.

Step 2: ProFoam Very Fine Refines the surface and begins developing the final finish.

Step 3: Maroon Non-Woven Blends the surface to create a smooth, even matte finish.

OPTIONAL Want a brighter finish? Continue sanding with SurfPrep gray or white non-woven abrasives to achieve a satin or gloss appearance.
• Gray Non-Woven = Satin finish
• White Non-Woven = Gloss finish

Once you SEE 👀 flaws, you can’t UNSEE them.

An inspection light might feel like an investment, but catching imperfections BEFORE they become costly rework can save you thousands 💸

Better visibility. Better finishes. Less rework. 🙌🏼
