Needles & Hooks Needles & Hooks is a family owned local yarn store (LYS) in Lake Forest Park, WA. We have a great non-animal fiber section too!

We have a varied and colorful selection of yarns, along with notions and accessories for knitters and crocheters. Our non-animal fiber includes hand dyed cotton, cotton blends and synthetics. We even feature Berroco Remix, a yarn made from 100% recycled fibers.

Much anticipated, "The Doodle Sock Knitting Directory" by Jamie Lomax of Pacific Knit Co. Doodle fame, is out TODAY!! πŸ˜ƒThis book is a feast for the eyes, πŸ‘€ I can't sop flipping through it. It's such a great sock knitting how-to, as well as a great guide to colorwork socks. 🧦 Well done, Jamie!

"One Skein Knitting" by Ksenia Naidyon aka Life Is Cozy 🌸🌼
I'm a huge fan of Ksenia's patterns, so I'm pretty excited about this one (and not just because her color choices speak to me πŸ˜‰). There are 18 beautiful patterns in this book and I encourage you to come by and take a look. So pretty 😍

I can't talk about new books without throwing at least one creature-making edition in there. πŸ˜‰ "Best Dressed Crab and Friends" by Karla Courtney will not disappoint you knitters out there with a healthy sense of humor. πŸ€ͺπŸ¦€ This awesome book has patterns to knit six sea creatures and 44 adorable accessories and items of clothing for them to wear. You guys, there's a puffin in a puffer vest! I can't do it justice.

I'll start by sharing the kits we just received from The Crafty Kit Company in Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁒󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We have tiny matchbox cross stitch bag charms, cross stitch bookmarks and beautiful needle felted pictures. I'm a sucker for good design & packaging, and these kits fit the bill. Don't you think they'd make great gifts? To make or to give?

πŸ’•πŸ“πŸŒΌ We've expanded our button selection, as well as moved it to the front window. These adorable buttons are from Sarah Hearts , a smaller brand based in North Carolina. We have a fun selection in various sizes and styles (and stickers too).

These buttons would be perfect for a project that needs a whimsical touch! β˜€οΈπŸ€
