The Avid Angler Fly Fishing Outfitters - Seattle, WA We are located just north of downtown Seattle. Find us at the north end of Lake Washington in Lake Forest Park.

Our shop is on Bothell Way (or Hwy 522) in the Lake Forest Park Towne Center. We are open seven days a week just a few doors down from Albertsons. Find us between Mud Bay pet store and Papa Murphy’s.

New vintage lids in stock! Stop by and pick one up before they are gone. The logo is a throwback from the 80’s, and Richardson Sports knocked it out of the park!

And don’t forget tomorrow night is Thursday and we are open late. Since it is the second Thursday of the month, it is Youth Night!

Last month, the kids were engaged and genuinely interested in learning about bugs! We checked out aquatic insects, watched Anatomy of a Trout Stream and discussed the upcoming season.

Join us tomorrow night while we pull out the fly tying vises and help your kiddo spin up a fly! The older kids, that already tie, can help out the younger ones. Being a mentor is rewarding and good on your college application! To get your kid on the list please email the shop. Vises provided!

Youth Fly Fishing Night - first edition!

Tonight, from 6-7pm, we will be playing the classic trout fishing film “Anatomy of a Trout Stream”. This film was produced by Scientific Anglers and features entomologist Rich Hafele.

While the film is playing, we will be displaying aquatic insects and flies in the front of the shop. We also have handouts for the youth to take home and learn about these amazing aquatic insects. If you can’t make it tonight please let us know so we can add you to our list for next month!

It has already been a busy week at the shop!

Today we added fall clothing to our sale rack, and tomorrow we start displaying new items for Spring.

Fly Tyer Update - The Hareline fly tying restock arrives Wednesday. While the Nature’s Spirit marabou and hair arrived late last week.

Fly Fishing Show Update - We are joining exhibitors at the Fly Fishing Show in Bellevue this weekend! Come say hello!
