Mark your calendars for June 19th! 🗓️ Today, let's look ahead and talk about a truly extraordinary hidden gem in the history of the Church: Saint Juliana Falconieri.

Living in 14th-century Italy, Juliana founded a religious community dedicated to serving the sick, the abandoned, and the forgotten. But her deepest love was always reserved for the Holy Eucharist.

Near the end of her life, she became so severely ill that she couldn't eat or drink—meaning she was unable to receive Holy Communion. Heartbroken but full of faith, she asked the priest to simply lay a corporal (the white altar cloth) on her chest and place the sacred Host over her heart so she could be close to Jesus one last time.

What happened next was a breathtaking miracle. ✨

The Host completely vanished from her chest, and she passed away peacefully moments later. When her sisters prepared her body for burial, they found a faint imprint resembling a cross right over her heart, exactly where the Eucharist had been placed.

Saint Juliana reminds us that when we feel weak, sick, or entirely empty, Jesus doesn’t stay far away. He meets us right in our brokenness.

Because of her life of service and her final illness, she is the patron saint for anyone dealing with chronic illness, bodily pain, or severe stomach issues. If you or someone you love is struggling with their health this week, let's ask Saint Juliana to lift those burdens up to the Lord. 🤍

Most of us know St. Anthony of Padua as the companion we turn to when we lose our keys, our wallet, or our favorite pen. And while he is incredibly patient with our everyday mix-ups, his feast day on June 13th is the perfect time to look a little deeper at what he truly helps us find.

St. Anthony was a brilliant Franciscan friar and an incredible preacher. He didn't just find lost objects. He spent his entire life helping people find their way back to God, finding peace in anxious times, and restoring hope when it felt entirely lost.

Take a close look at how he is traditionally depicted in sacred art: he is almost always holding a lily (representing purity and goodness), and the Child Jesus.

It’s a beautiful reminder that when we feel a bit scattered, overwhelmed, or "lost" in the busyness of daily life, St. Anthony gently points us back to the ultimate source of peace: Christ Himself.

Happy Feast Day! 🌸 Today we honor the Holy Chinese Martyrs, a group of 120 brave men, women, and children who stood fiercely by their faith.

As a catechist at my parish, I love sharing the stories of saints who might not be as widely known, but whose courage completely changes how we see the world. Today, my heart is resting on the story of St. Agatha Lin Zhao.

What makes St. Agatha Lin so incredibly special? ✨

She was a young laywoman and a schoolteacher in 19th-century China. When the persecutions began, she was arrested for refusing to renounce her faith. Even when facing a death sentence, her courage never wavered. On her way to her ex*****on, she didn't walk in fear, instead, she calmly repeated:

"I only desire to accomplish God's will."

She was just 21 years old.

As a business owner running Heart & Halo, and as a teacher passing on the faith, St. Agatha is a beautiful reminder of what it means to be a "halo" in the world. It’s about standing firm in who you are, serving others with a gentle heart, and trusting God’s plan for your life, no matter how small or hidden your daily routine feels.

Welcome to June! The beautiful month entirely dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

While this devotion has comforted souls for centuries, this month holds a truly breathtaking place in history because of a monumental declaration. Back in May of 1899, Pope Leo XIII issued his famous encyclical, Annum Sacrum. In it, he pointed to the Sacred Heart as a "heavenly token" of hope for a hurting world and decreed that the entire human race be solemnly consecrated to Christ’s Divine Heart that very June.

Pope Leo XIII later called this historic consecration the absolute "greatest act of my pontificate."

Why is this month so deeply special to us at Heart & Halo?Because the Sacred Heart isn't just a symbol It is the literal, burning reality of God's infinite, unconditional love for you. It is a Heart of flesh that beats with mercy, a Heart that was pierced for our sorrows, and a Heart that constantly invites us to come find rest when the world feels heavy and overwhelming.

When Pope Leo XIII looked at the troubles, anxieties, and divisions of the world, he didn’t point to political or worldly solutions. He pointed straight to the flames of love pouring from the chest of Christ.

This June, let’s take up that same invitation. Let’s bring our families, our fears, our triumphs, and our daily routines to His font of mercy. Let’s allow His grace to reshape our own hearts to look a little more like His patient, humble, and fiercely loving.

“I am not afraid... I was born to do this.” ✨🛡️

Today, May 30th, we celebrate the Feast Day of one of the most fiercely courageous, radiant souls in history: St. Joan of Arc.

Joan wasn't a powerful noble or a trained soldier when her journey began. She was just a young peasant girl, listening closely to the whispers of heaven. Yet, when God called her to do the impossible, she didn't let fear, her youth, or the doubts of the world hold her back. She put on her armor, picked up her banner, and led with absolute, unshakeable faith.

Why is she so incredibly special to us at Heart & Halo?

Because Joan reminds us that God doesn’t look for the most qualified; He qualifies the called. She shows us what happens when a heart is completely surrendered to a divine purpose. Her life is a powerful reminder that true strength doesn't come from worldly status. It comes from a quiet, burning trust in God's plan, even when the path ahead looks entirely overwhelming.

In a world that constantly tells us who we should be, St. Joan inspires us to stand tall, look toward heaven, and step boldly into the unique mission God has written just for us.

Whatever battles you are facing today, whatever doubts are whispering in your ear, remember Joan’s words. You are equipped. You are guided. You were born for this. 🤍

“My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee...” ✨

There is a profound power in the simple faith of a child. Looking at these statues of Our Lady of Fatima with St. Francisco and St. Jacinta Marto, I’m reminded that Heaven’s plea for peace began with three humble shepherds in a quiet field.

In a world that feels heavy and restless, their message is more urgent than ever: Pray. Have hope. Seek peace. 🕊️

We ask Our Lady to wrap her mantle around our world today, and we look to the little shepherds to teach us how to love with a pure heart.

✨ Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima – May 13 ✨

Today we honor Our Lady of Fatima, who appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 with a message of prayer, repentance, and peace. Her call to pray the Rosary and turn our hearts back to God continues to be just as important today.

In a world filled with conflict, uncertainty, and division, asking for her intercession for peace is more important than ever. She reminds us that true peace begins in our hearts through prayer, sacrifice, and trust in God.

✨ Feast Day of Saint Dominic Savio ✨

Today, May 6, we celebrate a young saint who showed that holiness isn’t about age. It’s about love, courage, and choosing what is good every day.

St. Dominic Savio is especially close to the hearts of children and youth. Even at a young age, he lived with joy, kindness, and a deep love for Jesus and the Eucharist. He reminds us that you don’t have to wait to grow up to become a saint, you can start now.

He is a beautiful role model for First Communion children, showing how to receive Jesus with a pure heart and to live with faith, humility, and joy.
