You may be creating a physically safe environment for your children…. but have you ever stopped to ask whether they feel emotionally safe too?

There’s a difference.

Emotional safety gives our children room to be honest, make mistakes, ask questions, express emotions, and still know: “I am safe. I am heard. I am loved.” ❤️

Sometimes our children aren’t asking us to agree with them… they’re asking us to understand them. 🥹🧡

And sometimes? We genuinely DON’T understand. 😂 But that’s where curiosity comes in.

Instead of rushing to correct, dismiss, explain, or defend…. what would happen if we simply asked one more question?

“I may not understand yet, but I want to.” 🤎

That one sentence can teach a child that their thoughts are worth hearing, their feelings are worth exploring, and they don’t have to become silent just because someone sees things differently.

There’s something SO special about people who show up, not for recognition, not because they have to, but simply because they genuinely want to HELP, SUPPORT, and see the vision come to life! 🥹🫶🏽🔥

MAJOR shoutout to and her hubby BJ for coming through and helping me get everything set up! 🙌🏾 Y’all, it truly felt like FAMILY in that room. The love, the support, the helping hands… all of it meant more than you know! 🥹♥️

There’s something special about the people who show up simply because they believe in YOU. 🥹♥️

She didn’t come as a mom. She didn’t bring a child. She came as my friend to support me, celebrate with me, and experience what I’ve been building.

And that means more than I can put into words. 🥹

Because There’s Something In Me may have been created with children in mind, but the message of identity, purpose, healing, and becoming reaches far beyond childhood. 🌱✨

Spanish was Kanen’s first language, and as he grows into speaking more English, it makes my heart so full knowing that my book gets to be part of that journey, one of the stories he can grow up remembering and carry with him in his heart and spirit. ♥️
