The rest of August is looking wonderfully busy at Thirsty Caterpillar!

We’re gathering for our first Romantasy Book Club session (tickets still available at the ), welcoming Dean Hall and Rob Crow for a special author evening, pouring our ritual Friday Flights of Fancy, and hosting another sold-out Mahjong 101 lesson.

Two powerful stories. One unforgettable evening.

Join us as Dean Hall shares his extraordinary 187-mile swim down the Willamette River while battling leukemia and lymphoma, chronicled in The Wild Cure. Rob Crow will also introduce Staying Alive in Bear Country, the novel his father, Peter Crow, worked tirelessly on before his passing in 2025 and that his family came together to publish in his honor.

Together, we’ll explore how courage carries us through the most difficult terrain and how storytelling can preserve the people and experiences that shape us. This event is free, but space is limited so RSVPs are required. Reserve your spot at the link in our bio!
