Woohoo! You bought your first wood wick candle! Before you rush to light your newest obsession, take a moment to flip your candle upside down and read the general candle safety labels. All standard candle safety rules apply, but there are a few special tricks to know about the care and keeping of your M H wood wick candles. Save this post and read on...⠀

🕯️ Wooden wicks burn differently than cotton wicks, so please treat this candle like the open fire it is.⠀
⠀
🔥 To set your candle up for long-term burning success, make sure your candle fully melts to the edges of the container every burn, but especially the first burn. This can take up to 3 hours depending on the size of your candle. This prevents the candle from tunneling, which significantly affects your candle performance ⠀

🔥 Your M H candles come ready to light, but they must be trimmed to about 1/8"-3/16" between each burn! This is shorter than how you would trim a cotton wick, so don't be alarmed if it seems too short! Once your candle has fully cooled, simply flip upside down and pinch off the charred wick. I recommend doing this upside down so your candle doesn't get sooty! Alternatively, you can use a wick trimmer to remove the charred portion of the wick. ⠀

⌛ Your M H candle burns best when lit for 3-4 hours at a time.⠀

Pumpkin Spice Lattes can't, well, hold a candle to White Pumpkin + Caramel. ⠀

Yeah I know. Puns *really* aren't my thing. But luckily, curating luxury home experiences in the form of fine fragranced candles definitely are. ⠀

I know it's sort of a seasonal sin, but I have to confess. I hate, and I mean absolutely loathe, Pumpkin Spiced...Anything. There. I said it. ⠀

*Cue the Karens smashing the unfollow button.*⠀
⠀
Let me explain the backstory that might help you understand my thoughts. It's not that I don't like pumpkins or seasonal spice blends. I do actually, very much so! But ever since cafes created pumpkin spiced coffee in the '90s and Starbs introduced the (in)famous PSL in the early 2000s, everybody and their grannies had pumpkin spiced anything and everything as soon as the end of August neared. The Pumpkin Spice Craze was born.⠀

Suddenly, this wonderful blend became another corporate marketing grab and all the novelty and thought flew out the window. It commercialized and cheapened both pumpkin and spice in one fell swoop. Hence my disenchantment. The very last thing I would ever want is to put yet another flat, two dimensional fall pumpkin fragrance on the market. Boring! ⠀

So, with that in mind, I'm pleased to introduce you to my unique and elevated take on the over used and tired Pumpkin Spice.⠀
