Enrich your daily moments,

Engage in creative endeavors,

And make conscious consumer choices in the process. Rachelle has spent over 18 years perfecting her plant-stained art and mastering the process. This unique paper collection of her colorful and textured eco-printed designs is created through plant staining achieved by boiling. Through years of study, she has discovered the nuances that can

influence the end result. As a child, working with clay captured her interest when she took lessons at Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh and honed her skills through studies in college, graduate school and beyond. Rachelle earned a Masters of Education and was the Adjunct Ceramics Professor at Gardner-Webb University and Florida Southern College where she inspired students to seek their unique creative expressions through clay. An invited artist to Walt Disney World, Rachelle showed and sold her art at special events at EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and other resort locations. Currently her work is sold exclusively on RachelleEason.com.

There’s a moment in this process where you unwrap the paper…
and you truly don’t know what you’re going to get.

Petals leave ghost-like impressions.
Leaves release unexpected color.
And every piece feels like a quiet surprise.

This is Plant-Stained Paper...and it’s not something we offer often.

🌿 A little slower
🌿 A little experimental
🌿 Completely one-of-a-kind

If you’ve been craving something different in your creative practice… this might be it.

It's the last week to register for this in-person workshop intensive: four days, enchanting plant materials, exquisite results.

We are a pottery school for adults, but Plant-Stained Paper is what elevated my career as a professional artist with a "magical" journey of art shows, gallery showings, and being an invited artist to Walt Disney World for long term residencies.

This class may have caused a pottery obsession with colored slip!

This pottery class was basically a color-party disguised as art time! With every squish, swirl, and spin of the piece, blobs of colorful slip turn into quirky creations and happy messes. Laughter mixed with bright pigments as everyone experimented, got a little smudged, and discovered that using colored slip is way more fun when things get a bit splashy. It was hands-on, joy-filled, and proof that creativity is even better in full color. What a blast it was to teach this group...mixing colors and making memories one brush of slip at a time!

Framing today… not my favorite thing but I LOVE the finished piece!

When I showed at Disney, there were often times that I finished a boiling of Plant-Stained Papers, dried them for a day or two, matted and framed them and took them into my shop and they would sell immediately!
I was grateful, of course, but I also felt like I never really got to know the piece before it went out in the world when it happened that fast.
But, I am happy to know that the collectors that snatched them up are enjoying their visual expressions. 🥰

DIG IN: Pinching... Explore the technique of pinching clay into shape, a foundation skill used commonly to create bowls, mugs, and vases and is often the first step in creating sculptures. In this class, Diana will teach how to pinch a pot/bowl and carve it to have a “story telling” surface design.

I have very little time and a whole lot to glaze! Usually I don’t worry about it but I have six classes next week that I need to demo how to stitch broom corn and pine needles to pieces. The time crunch solution? Red Iron Oxide!

1st is the pieces covered in red iron oxide. Second is after the excess oxide is wiped off. It’s messy but so fabulously fun!

It’s a simple quick way to deepen the loveliness of the clay. I’ll share pics of them when they are all stitched up!

Really loving this quirky bird pitcher! Fresh out of the kiln and constructed of colored stoneware clay then glazed with layered phase glazed and fired to Cone 6. He’s so cute!

I’m on a whimsy bird kick apparently. It is inspired by our trip to the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. Check it out if in Maitland FL. They have birds with great personality just waiting for you to visit!
