Polk For Recovery is incredibly grateful for Pedal Power and their generous donation of bicycles! 🙏

These are so much more than bikes. For the women and children of Talbot House Ministries, they can mean freedom, independence, transportation, fresh air, and simply the joy of having something to call their own. ❤️

Recovery and rebuilding a life takes a community, and this is what community looks like, people coming together, giving what they can, and reminding others that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry assists the Osceola Fire Rescue team led by Kevin Hammer (FPC member) to deliver and replace a 17 year olds stolen bike.

The blessings continue to flow. Thank you Jim Zarlengo from the Villages. Jim drove down to make a huge donation to Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry at First Presbyterian Church. The donation included all those parts that we use to restore bikes to good safe working order. Tires, tubes, handlebars, brakes, seats, cassettes, seat posts, water cages, back racks, three nice frames, bottom and head brackets, reflectors, bike rack, rims and so much more

A busy weekend for Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry at First Presbyterian Church. The annual "Bike Buddies" event took place at the Lakeland Police Athletic League. The program is designed to provide a positive interaction and experience with kids at risk and a uniformed police officer. Participating agencies include Lakeland Vision, Lakeland Police Department, Polk County Sheriff's office and Florida Poly Tech Police Department and Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry. We donated 50 refurbished kids bikes for the event. Pedal Power Bicycle volunteers were on stand-by for any last minute adjustments. Florida Dept. of Transportation provided Free helmet fittings for all kids receiving bikes. PAL provided lunch that included hot dogs, snacks and ice cold water. Quote of the day from a young boy receiving a 20 inch bicycle.....he said >>>>"This does not feel real....this is a dream come true" upon receiving his bike.

We are so thankful to the Marriott Grand Ocean Vacation Club located in Hilton Head Island South Carolina for donating 40 beach cruiser bicycles to the Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry at First Presbyterian Church. So very grateful to Rob Kincart, Landen Kincart and ACT for picking them up and delivering back to Lakeland. We are so very thankful for these very generous acts to support Pedal Power Bicycles where we serve children and adults who have fallen on hard times with FREE bicycles.

Pedal Power Bicycle Ministry is so very blessed to have this new workspace at First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland, Florida.
Organization is the key when you have multiple volunteers with diverse skill sets. All 8 work stands have their own set of tools.....no more hollering..."hey who has the 10 mm wrench" lol ..huhuh....better organization leads to greater productivity. The key is that all tools get returned to their proper location. Thanks to all volunteers who love serving others. Blessings and peace my friends.
