It's been awhile since we posted any projects. The past 3 months have been... Crazy! This project has a little story behind it.
Sometime in December I had large 34" wide screen monitor (that was amazing) fall forward into my desk and shatter. I was crushed and my "Hold My Beer" attitude went into full overdrive. I needed to make a monitor lock that would prevent this from ever happening again. What you are looking at here is a full desk organizational unit. It is made of Ash and includes a monitor lock (the monitor can't fall), cable management in the back, hooks on the side for cables, headphones and other hanging items. It even has a notch in the front for pushing my laptop monitor back. It measures 59" by 10" tall by 10 inches deep. The sides have half-blind dovetails and I selected sliding tenons for support of the middle shelves (then I glued them in).
I never make anything for myself and I really hate remaking things, so I went full on over kill. A few people have asked if I would make more of these... Not intentionally yet. But if you would like to commission one I would happily build this one again for $500+ shipping or work with you to make something similar what would work for you. Just drop me a PM
Next up: a large collapsible workbench!!
Please ignore the mess in the shop. Cleaning the shop has been very low on our list of things to do lately. π€·π»ββοΈ
