Here are 3 important things to cover with your wedding florist during your consultations that might not be obvious to folks who aren’t in the industry!

1. The size of the tables, ESPECIALLY long tables!!! The average 8ft table your venue supplies is 30 inches wide. When the table is fully set with chargers, flatware, stemware, name cards, it doesn’t leave much room for decor. If your vision is airy single stems and narrow candles, this will totally work. If you want fuller florals / tall statement arrangements, you’ll need to factor in using 42 inches wide tables at minimum!! BONUS: Make sure we know the type of dinner service…If it’s family style, that’s another item taking up lots of surface area on the tables!!

2. Make sure to discuss what happens to the flowers once your wedding concludes. Depending on whether or not you want to keep the flowers, we will adapt our designs, container choices, mechanics, and clean-up fees. It’s important you and your florist are on the same page and everyone has the same expectations!

3. A professional florist has the responsibility of providing you with realistic options that capture your design vision while ALSO accommodating your budget.
