Hello TGH crew, this is Sam, Christopher Schumann's wife. He is still in the hospital. I am doing my best to work through TGH orders. I appreciate the patience and understanding. Working a full time job, raising 2 kiddos and managing TGH has been a lot for me to balance on my own since Chris's accident last August.

Hello TGH family, it's Sam again. I shared the following update on the GoFundMe page, but I wanted to share it here too.

Chris will be getting Transferred to Craig Hospital this coming Monday. They specialize in spinal cord injury rehab. He is extremely excited to get out of the hospital and get started with the inpatient program there.

He is still on the ventilator but has been weaning off it longer each day. After he has been weaning for over 24 hours they can consider downsizing his trach. After that has been completed then he can perform a swallow test to see if he can tolerate eating and drinking. He has been asking for a cheeseburger every day

He still gets frustrated with communication since he can't talk due to the ventilator but we're working though it. Patience is key, which Chris doesn't have much of, as you all know too well.

We've just been taking it day by day. Thank you all for your amazing support!
