Book Recommendation from Shannon

A new nonfiction release with a very old story to explore. I actually started this as an ARC, but found myself getting tripped up by some of the references while reading ahead of publication. Once it was released, I picked it back up and ended up reading it in one sitting.

I may be a bit of a niche audience for this one—my master’s degree is in history, and one of the undergraduate courses I teach is Greek and Roman history: but- I really appreciated the way this was written in an easy and engaging way. Rather than focusing only on the historical context, they also connected them to modern cinema and storytelling. Overall, an interesting read!

I love it: when I pulled the sales for the month of July stickers and assorted children’s used (they always win on volume!) topped the list and then the list read:
