The Fist of Khonshu has arrived!

Moon Knight 1 marks the beginning of Marc Spector’s first ongoing solo series, launching in 1980 from the legendary creative team of Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz.

After making his debut in Werewolf by Night 32, Moon Knight quickly became one of Marvel’s most unique street level heroes and this is the book that truly began building the mythology behind Marc Spector, Khonshu, and Moon Knight.

A classic Bronze Age Marvel first and an essential book for any Moon Knight collection.

BATMAN: A DEATH IN THE FAMILY

One of the darkest and most unforgettable moments in Batman history.

Told in Batman 426–429 (1988–1989), A Death in the Family follows Batman and Jason Todd’s Robin into a brutal confrontation with the Joker. One that would permanently change the Bat Family.

What made this story even crazier? DC let the readers decide Jason Todd’s fate by calling a 1-900 number to vote. The result became one of the most controversial moments in comic book history.

Written by Jim Starlin with artwork by Jim Aparo, this storyline remains essential reading for Batman fans and collectors.

A new week in September means a new week for comic releases! What a treat to be a comic book lover. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the extended weekend. Now let's get into what's to come.

Mark Spears is teaming up with Todd McFarlane for Spawn77! This is the vision of what spawn would've looked like. Are you picking this one up? Doctor Doom versus Spider-Man. DOCTOR DOOM is determined to make Spider-Man a core part of his next world dominating scheme! Bad Seeds is on week three and this story sure has been great. It's felt very cinematic. Wolverine 27 looks familiar. We also get some timeless from Alex Ross (who still has us blocked) and some great indie numbers ones.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 316

One of the most recognizable Venom covers of the Copper Age!

Released in 1989, Amazing Spider-Man 316 features the first full cover appearance of Venom, with the legendary Todd McFarlane handling the cover, pencils, and inks. The story, “Dead Meat,” was written by David Michelinie and continues the “Return of Venom” storyline.

Inside, Venom is hunting for Peter Parker and crosses paths with Black Cat, leading to a brutal encounter before Venom gets one step closer to finding Peter.

Banger after banger after banger! Your wallets are going to be upset with how much is coming out in the first week of September!...September?! Where has the year gone. Anyways! Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, and let's see what's to come!

Jeff Lemire newest story Crowbound releases this week. Love his artwork and stories. This is def one you don't want to miss. Next level brings Doom Patrol, Teen Titans, and Legion Of Super heroes! It's been 50 years of Spider-Woman. Congrats to Jessica Drew! Along side her, Marvel is coming in strong with a lot of new releases you don't want to miss. Archie is back like never before and the world is weird again.
