A rainy day + a crochet project + 1 snuggly puppy = my idea of perfection!

Everyone in this house was cuddled up watching a show or napping and listening to the rain is so cathartic for me!!

May the rain wash away any negativity surrounding us all and usher in the -ber months of coziness and snuggliness for the rest of 2026!

My name is Sarah and I most definitely, always talk with my hands!

So much so that sometimes I accidently whack someone in close proximity or hit a solid object nearby!

For sure don’t sit close to me if I have a knitting needle or crochet hook in my hand or do so at your own risk because if I’m telling a story and get too animated trying to relay whatever horror or funny happened… you may get poked or hooked onto!

I texted my sister yesterday and told her about this Godwink heart leaf that fell right on the dishcloth while I was at the vendor fair on Saturday!

My daughter and I look for hearts in the wild and it reminds us to always look for the good and we will find it!

This leaf reminded me that I need to be looking for the good especially when I am feeling low… this Godwink reminded me to switch my perspective about the season I’m feeling in. So I’m signing off to go turn on some jazzy music and fold laundry! Changing the station to change the mood! (60s classics? Current country? Disney music?! I’ll let you know what we decide on!)

This is not craft related!

But…. It’s absolutely apt for my life right now!

Tonight, I opened up a sweet butternut squash tonight to roast for supper… and was met with this conglomeration!! 😳🥴😬

If this isn’t a metaphor for my life right now that I feel like things are stagnant on the outside… BUT… on the inside things are changing (even blooming)! … there are not babies blooming inside me right now unless they are idea sprouts or baby sparks of creativity. ⚡️ 🔥 🌼

Just needed the reminder that even in dark places things can start to bloom!

Never could I have predicted I’d have a daughter who is a lot like her father…. I mean… A LOT!…. But inside she’s my crafty clone! This girl loves an upcycle and this summer we are putting together the craft room of our dreams!!!
