Another JunkFest in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to shop and took some of my creations home with you. You guys make all those long hours in the shop worth it!❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who helped me get things finished, loaded, hauled, set up, and torn down. It definitely takes a crew to pull off all of my crazy ideas! And thank you, Missy, for putting on another amazing and bringing all of us together for another year.

Now to recover, clean up the aftermath, and see what Sweet Pickins’ gets itself into next!☺️

Last week was the first week of school for our family, and this year, it felt a little different. It’s so easy to get caught up in the “here we go again” of school starting. The early mornings, packing bags, finding the routine again, getting everyone where they need to be.

But this year, I’m trying really hard not to take any of it for granted. Last year at this time, Axl was in the hospital fighting cancer. There was no first day of school picture. No new school routine. We would have given anything for the ordinary things that can sometimes feel like such a hassle.

So this year, we’re extra grateful for the backpacks, the busy mornings, the school routine, and all the normal that comes with them. Just a little reminder, for me as much as anyone else: sometimes the things we complain about are the exact things we once prayed we’d get to do again.❤️

JunkFest sneak peek! I may have gotten a little carried away with this one, but when have I ever done anything small? I made these giant cows for my nephew’s wedding, and now I’m turning the idea into a giant cow planter for JunkFest! The legs will look a little different than the one pictured, but just imagine her filled up for fall and then switched over for Christmas!
