Some moments from childhood that I hope my girls remember fondly.
Last week we got to enjoy the “pink snow” we get every year when the cherry blossoms fall.
I’m glad I’m able to capture some moments like these on video, because time moves all too fast.
It’s easy for me to forget sometimes in the midst of my own grief and busy life now- starting and running a flower farm- that they also have been through so much in the past 1.5 years. They lost their little sister.
Eleanor was 6 and Jolene was still only 3… but now they are 5 and 7, and have grown more in the last year and a half than kids their age should have to. ❤️🩹
The other day when we were hugging my five year old asked me:
“Mom? Are you gonna die? Are you gonna live forever?” 💔 Uff.
It has been a journey for all of us, one we wish we weren’t on. But moments like these do fill my heart, and I try and soak them in. Even if, in the moment, my heart still aches that Hazel was in this video with us, enjoying the blossoms.
