Local Potters Open Studio For Tour

Come enjoy a day meeting local potters and touring their studios at the Tenth Annual Pottery Tour of Lancaster County. The self- guided tour, featuring five local potters, 10am-5pm, is Saturday, September 26th. The potters include Lorrie Ayers, Shellie Mitchell, Alan Noll, Dianne Mahaffee and Taylor Casey
Start at any pottery location and get your card punched as you journey to each location, for a chance to win one of five, give-away pottery items. The winners will be notified and will select their prize at The Lancaster County Council of the Arts, on Gay Street during M-F business hours.
During the tour, see amazing demonstrations and equipment, plus pottery of various styles depending on pottery artists. Observe wheel throwing, clay coiling, raku firing, clay jewelry making, the carving process of clay caricatures, and a chance to purchase newly fired pottery.
