Happy 250th Birthday, America! So thankful our Dad & Mom taught us to love God, love family, and love our country: The United States of America! We have wonderful memories of our Dad playing Patriotic Music and John Phillip Sousa Marches on the record player with 33 LP's, also some 45's and some 78's. Of course, we had to flip the stylus to play the 78's and we had to "raise the cylinder" to play the 45's. We listened to Patriotic Music year round and often listened in the 1970's while we were molding Easter Candy in our home. Sometimes to help us work faster we would put the 33 LP's on the 78 rpm speed. Now that is a fun memory! Listening to our 33 LP of "The Stars and Stripes Forever" on 78 speed was awesome! 😃 And whenever The Army Song would come on, Dad would sing along, because he had served in the army. We are so thankful for all the men and women who have served in the armed forces so that we are able to celebrate 250 years of American Freedom!
