Half-Axed Spoons

Things are afoot!
Since I work outside with wood chips flying and making a mess, I only work outside by my truck. So if it would rain that day, I won't attend. But until then...

I don't think I had posted a promotion here for a event this weekend because I was waiting for the weather forecast to firm up a little more. It firmed up in the wrong direction and the art market event where I was going to carve spoons is now canceled, so I'll post about the aftermath. Here's the official statement from the organizer:

Due to the rain forecast, the Art Market portion of First Fridays at the Canaanville Arts Center will be canceled. The Starbrick Artists reception and show inside the Arts Center will go on! From 5:00 to 8:00 join the artists for an indoor reception, exhibit and celebration. There will still be Wood fired Pizza, food and drink, live music, and great art!

The Art Market is rescheduled for Saturday, October the 17th from noon to 7:00 p.m. . The address is 35 Lorene Ave, Athens.

If you're a fan of accurately- researched historical fiction, I highly recommend this series. I'm on my 8th read-through, and can proudly say that author Octavia has a Half-Axed spoon!

Two of my fellow Lost Viking Crew friends have started a woodworking business of their own. Here's a glimpse of some of their wares.

Things aren't going well here.

And while I'm here...

Saturday I'll be at Mount Oval historic farm just south of Circleville, doing spoon carving.

I'll post some more info and links tomorrow.

Carry on.

Another Lily Fest survived, so I'm patting myself on the back for managing to attend all 3 days, and yes, we got rained on all 3 days.

Pics of remaining inventory will follow as soon as I've had some much-needed sleep. I'm fried.

Carry on.
