JALYN COURTENAY WEBB (Co-Director/ Vocal Director/ Madame Thénardier) Jalyn is thrilled to be back on her favorite stage with so many of her favorite people, for her FAVORITE show! Jalyn has performed on Colorado stages for 40 years. Favorite roles here at Candlelight include Truvy in Steel Magnolias, Louise in Always, Patsy Cline, The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, and Marmee in Little Women. Other favorite roles include: The Preacher in Bonnie and Clyde (Bright Heart Stages), Justice in Rock of Ages (MAC), The Emcee in Motones & Jerseys (MAC, BDT Stage, The Candlelight), Matron Mama Morton in Chicago (Suncoast Broadway), and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (MAC). Jalyn is also the Director of Sales and Marketing here at Candlelight, and owns Divabee Academy, an after-school youth performing arts program. She loves working with students of all ages and helping them to ignite their passion for musical theatre! Special thanks to Chas for being the best stage husband, to Joel for being the best at-home husband, to Dave and Paula and Kate for their trust and support, and to her true partner on this production, Cathy — I am so grateful for our collaboration, for your vision and leadership, and for years of friendship. “To love another person is to see the face of God.” Enjoy the show!

"I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to play Madame Thenardier again, after playing her in 2013 - she was a huge bucket list role for me! I am fortunate to have played so many roles over my 30 plus years of working professionally, but I have JUST a couple left! The biggest one is Mama Rose in Gypsy, and the second is Margaret in Light in the Piazza. I will take any offers if anyone wants to cast me in either of these roles! :) In life, my next bucket list item is to visit Greece, and stay overnight at The Plaza in NYC!"
