Then and now: same corner shop.

Circa 1900 this was Fenstermacher’s grocery and notions; 125 years later it’s DogStar Books. In between it was an Acme corner grocery and the legendary Fillings Haberdashery.

This is our 20th year in business, and we’d like to celebrate the small local businesses that came before us in this space. Do you have memories or photos of the shops that were here before us—or of DogStar over the last 20 years? Share them below.
