My current project, Forest King version 3 (1 has a guard, 2 has a guard and quillion). The Forest King series are scaled-down DaDao shaped blades with a right-handed Kataba bevel (same as a sashimi knife). They can be made left-handed as well.

I think I'm going to develop my own Kendo style...
I learned Kendo and Iaido from a book. I studied Kung Fu (specifically Manchurian Wushu) and Chinese Kickboxing at a martial arts school when I was a kid. I think I can do it if I can get a sparring partner.... I'd get my brother to do it, but he's got a slipped disk so there's nobody I can really ask.

Our Fae-safe iron-free Athame is only $70 for those who like the page. It is made of recycled aluminum and tin and has a grip made of maple wood from a sustainable source. The blade is unsharpened and double edged and can be used in many Western ceremonial contexts.

Made templates for the bronze sword and a companion dagger out of foam board. Since there will be 2 step casting, the templates are only for the blades. I have come up with several hilt designs, all of which I intend to make as options for those who order swords...

Did a full-scale drawing of the Totsuka no Tsurugi (Sword the Length of 10 Fists). Next step is to make a wax model based on the drawing. The scale drawing is impressive. It really hits you when you look at it, that it's a sword fit for a God. Should weigh around 9 pounds or 4 kilos. To compare, a steel sword of the same design would be around 3 pounds. Long tapered blade with a diamond cross-section. 30 inch or 76 centimeter long blade... It will have pretty significant cutting power due to the edge-holding capability and weight. We plan to sell it for a base price of $700, excluding the cost of the handmade wood and water buffalo horn scabbard.

Got with a Metallugist today and worked out the bronze recipe for our swords. Also did a detailed scale drawing of the sword to be cast.
