Busy weekend ahead full of fun times! These will be the dessert offerings at the Hippie-fest over at Herb & Hive Turtle brownie pucks filled with chewy brownie layered between vanilla bean caramel and pecans. Yum!

Last night the had a President’s Day dinner. I was honored to be asked to make something to for the guests. After preparing samples, the committee chose the milk chocolate enrobed turtle brownies topped with an edible image. I hope the 150 guests enjoyed them.

2024 has literally started out with a bang- a few big ones to say the least.

So my Valentines offerings this year just didn’t happen. Not even for my family 😕. So store bought cupcakes and chocolate covered pretzels are what they’re getting.

But I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet but I need some time to get my house in order and I’ll be back to making all your favorite chocolate creations.

Consistency is key. This is the progression of our caramel pretzels. Each are hand wrapped so each are a little different in appearance but each have the same amount of caramel. These were made for our friends .n.hive for some Super Bowl fun!

I always ask for 1 week for orders and here’s why: I don’t create when I’m sick. I had an order come in a few days ago and while I knew a week was more than enough time to finish it, yesterday I got food poisoning. Yeah, it was a rough night. So while I’m on the mend, I know I can still deliver the chocolate on time while taking time to get over this nastiness! So while I strive to have orders done well before the date promised, I have to account for stupidness like this. Be well everyone! 🍫🍫The Mom

The algorithm 🤷‍♀️ says if I don’t post stuff every day, you won’t see the cool stuff I post 🤷‍♀️.

So here’s a behind the scenes look at what I did to prepare for the next season of chocolate making. I grated organic cocoa butter.

Why? Because I use it to help with the temping process. Tempering is a chemical process that makes melted chocolate to have the correct crystallization process to produce a streak-free, glossy finish with a beautiful snap.

So that’s it, folks, I grated some cocoa butter before I head out to shop for supplies. Have a great day!
