From the beautiful Whidbey Island is our beloved confectionery shop. At Sweet Mona's Chocolates, every piece has devotion and intention filling it to the brim. Our passion for chocolate is rooted in our mission to be a community gathering place where everyone can find sweet bliss and happiness. We make our assortment of confectionery, espressos, lattes, gelatos, toffee, and fudge with only the highest-quality ingredients and care. All that step into our shop can feel the excitement and joy that exudes from our friendly faces and new creations. Happy Labor Day from all of us at Sweet Mona’s Chocolates! 🇺🇸🌻

Today we celebrate the hard work, dedication, and heart that keep our community strong. We’re especially grateful for our wonderful team, our fellow small businesses, and all of you who continue to support local here on Whidbey Island.

Yesterday was full of surprises!

First, I realized I forgot to mention the delicious Limoncello Nougat from Oil & Vinegar in my lemon-flavored favorites. 🍋 It’s soft, sweet, and bursting with bright limoncello flavor—definitely worthy of a mention!

Then I had the most amazing experience with a crow. It had flown into a building and couldn’t find its way out, so it kept flying toward the windows. I was able to calm it down, gently pick it up, carry it outside, and let it go. 🖤🐦‍⬛

I’m certainly not a bird whisperer, but for those few moments, I felt such a special connection with nature. It was an experience I absolutely loved—and I secretly hope that crow comes back to visit me someday.I had an amazing experience with a crow yesterday. It flew into a building and could not get out. It kept flying toward the windows, and I was able to calm it down and actually pick it up, take it outside, and let it go. This was really an experience that I just loved, and it was really fun to connect with nature. I am not a bird whisperer of sorts, but it was an amazing experience, and I hope it comes to me again. Sure, why not.

Want to learn how chocolates and confections are made behind the scenes? Sweet Mona’s Chocolates is looking for a part-time Manufacturing Trainee to join our production team in Langley. This is a hands-on position where you’ll learn the art of chocolate making, candy production, packaging, and the day-to-day workings of a small artisan chocolate shop. We offer a somewhat flexible schedule, a fun and creative work environment, and plenty of opportunity to learn new skills. Starting wage is Washington minimum wage. No chocolate-making experience necessary—we’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and not afraid to get a little chocolate on their hands! 🍫✨ Interested?
