Sorry for the delay, but a change in platforms gave me some technical issues!

Once again, I am joining the Hydrocephalus Association Philadelphia, PA - Hydrocephalus Association WALK later this year. I will try to connect fundraising into events/deals, but most of the push will be focused around celebrating Comic Zen's 10th Anniversary in September!

Traffic Talk: Crosswalks & Pedestrian Safety

With school out for the summer, our sidewalks, neighborhoods, and crosswalks often see more activity. More kids walking, more bikes, and more families out enjoying the community means everyone should stay a little more alert.

Crosswalks are designed to help pedestrians safely cross the roadway, but they also require awareness and cooperation from everyone using the road.

A common misconception is that vehicles must stop anytime someone is standing near a crosswalk. In Pennsylvania, drivers are required to yield to pedestrians who are lawfully crossing within a crosswalk. Pedestrians should not enter the roadway when a vehicle is too close to safely stop.

Pedestrians should:
🚶 Use designated crosswalks whenever available.
👀 Make sure approaching vehicles see you before entering the roadway.
⏳ Allow enough time for vehicles to safely stop before crossing.

Drivers should:
🚗 Stay alert near intersections and crosswalks.
🛑 Yield to pedestrians who have entered the crosswalk and are crossing.
📵 Avoid distractions that can prevent you from seeing pedestrians.
Crosswalk safety works best when everyone understands their role. A little patience and awareness can help prevent crashes and keep our community safe — especially during the summer months when more people are out and about.

Under the Lights Car Show is tomorrow!

The Fairmount Fire Company's popular "Under the Lights" Car Show returns to downtown Lansdale this Saturday, June 20, 2026, for another great evening of classic cars, custom builds, food, and family fun.

Date: Saturday, June 20, 2026
Event Begins: 7:00 PM
Location: West Main Street – between Broad Street and Valley Forge Road

To accommodate the event, West Main Street will be closed to all traffic from Valley Forge Road to Broad Street beginning at 3:00 PM and remaining closed until approximately 11:00 PM. Several surrounding side streets will also be closed, and all closures will be clearly marked.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes if traveling through the area.

We look forward to seeing everyone downtown for another fantastic community event. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
