🐀✨️HOLD ON TIGHT, SPIDER MONKEYS! One of the only things that made me smile during some very dark days earlier this year was when the sparkly Edward Cullen doll I ordered from a very talented fellow Twilight fanatic arrived. So when I saw that I could get them for the shop, and that there's a Jacob now, I just knew you would want them, too! I don't want to go too crazy pre-ordering, but I also don't want to sell out within the first ten minutes of opening on the day they arrive. So we're gonna do something we've never done for a non-book item before- we're gonna take pre-orders! I am going to place my order on June 20th (fittingly, Edward Cullen's vampire-versary), so pre-orders will turn off on June 19th. These will be available for pickup in-store only, and are expected to arrive around the first week of July. GET THOSE ORDERS IN! 🔗⬇️

One of REO Town's busiest weekends, 517 Juneteenth Weekend, is coming up quickly (next Saturday) and I need your help! I'd love to be able to put out a table of free kids books during the festivities on Saturday- I've got some, but not enough. Do you have a stash of gently-loved kids books you've been meaning to drop off at the second-hand store? Wanna come drop 'em off to us before next Saturday instead? YOU GUYYSSS! The Baby Mothman Blind Boxes from Squishable are finally here, and they're SO GOOD! (You know I had to open one.) Now that the book side of the store is mostly restocked and reset, attention has turned to the fun stuff! (Not that books aren't fun, ofc.) The snack shelf and drink cooler have been replenished with nostalgic goodness, we've restocked our vintage mood rings and pet rocks, and we also got a buncha new stickers! See you this weekend!

Today is a VERY IMPORTANT DAY in Deadtime history! Four years ago today, this blue-eyed menace showed up with Saved by Zade for an adoption event and never left, entering us into our "bookshop cat" era. Happy Gotcha Day, Morrison! For anyone wishing to send gifts, Morrison would love for you to visit the SBZ page to see what their most recent call to action is! They accept direct donations, have a standing Chewy wishlist, and will often make public requests for certain types of items that they are in urgent need of. (Kitten food, pet beds, etc.) Also, this feels like a good time to remind you that when we adopted Morrison, his name was Angus McCorkatail. 🤣
