A wonderful campaign coordinated by our friends at A Novel Concept

As part of this month’s "One Year of No Care" protest, the Kinshops are teaming up with local trans rights organizer Jen Crispin to host a letter write-in on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 4–6 p.m.!

It’s been one year since the University of Michigan revoked gender-affirming care for minors and 18-year-olds. Come use free materials (courtesy of Jen and Dear Ollie & Co.) to write the Board of Regents to demand care be reinstated. If you’re itching to get your scratchings down earlier, we will have supplies up front at the coffee table along with a note drop box available through next Tuesday’s event!

Today is the day!!!

Please join us and say 'Hi" to Scott and come celebrate 20 years of our mission with us on TODAY Saturday, July 18th from noon until 6 p.m. "EVERYbody Reads exists to provide services and resources to Michigan’s underserved individuals, families & communities by offering a comprehensive bookstore & neighborhood center. Further it is our goal to make certain that every individual can see their faces and hear their stories in our collection, regardless of everything."

We’re marking our anniversary with two fundraisers:

Noon–3pm | Can & Bottle Drive benefiting Saved by Zade cat rescue

3–5pm | Poetry Reading featuring local poets — plus an invitation to submit work to a to-be-published anthology, “We Were All Strangers Once,” with all sales proceeds going to the Immigrant & Refugee Resource Collaborative (IRRC)

The IRRC will also be serving plant-based cuisine — donations for food support their work too!

Browse our newly expanded collection of books highlighting underserved and underrepresented voices. And yes — free stickers for everyone!
