If you haven’t noticed, the landscape in front of our greenhouses may look a little crazy this time of year! Common milkweed has decided to pop up inside and outside of our greenhouses in the most random of places! We have chosen to let it all be so it can help these little monarch caterpillars do their thing! 🐛💗

Milkweed is essential for monarch butterflies because it is the sole host plant for their caterpillars. Female monarchs lay their eggs exclusively on milkweed and newly hatched larva cannot survive on any other food!
