A blur of colors. Echoes reaching out towards the Atlantic Ocean. Tears of being surrounded by the power of His Voice and The Love of The People that gathered just for Him.
Short clips. All mixed together. Moments in time. The capture of His Voice. And always He would say “I Love You All.

We love you back, Ozzy. Always.

I’m missing My Dad.

He’d probably still be on the phone with me going over all the news coverage that’s been happening.

4 years ago today He went into the VA Hospital. Shortly after He went into cardiac arrest and they spent 72 minutes doing CPR.
But the damage was already done.
4 days later, I would follow Him to The Hall of Heroes while the medical staff plays TAPS.

Every now and then, I’ll play the voicemails I saved. And everyday I wear His dog tags. His clothes still have His scent on them and sometimes I still cry when I breathe deep.

I’d like to think that He’s waiting for me someplace. That somehow He’s keeping my number from being called with all this medical bu****it that’s been hounding me these past few years.

That He would say “it’s not your time kiddo”
That’s what He’d call me. Kiddo.

And with everything that’s been thrown at Me so far and I’ve overcome He’d say
“Well of course You’ve overcome it, You’re A Santiago.”

I’m missing My Dad.
