Everyone has a decision to make. To believe or not believeโฆ this post isnโt about that.
For those of us believers who declare Joshua 24:14 over our homes, we need to remove the blinders from our eyes and be aware of what our children are being exposed to. I took this video at a local public library.
Notice the proximity of books about atheism and other religions are to the Word. Notice that there are only two bibles to read with the latter being commentaries and other Bible resources. Notice that our brains naturally read left to right and how the first books our eyes engage with are the secular ones, the ones that are against what we as believers know to be true.
If this is a representation of how the world is presenting Christianity to your children, this should worry you. Iโm calling you as a parent, an aunt or uncle, or friend of a believer who has children, letโs be intentional about teaching the next generation the truth from the Word of God. If weโre not teaching them, the world is.
As a childrenโs church teacher I love teaching kids about Truth but it isnโt enough. Donโt rely on Sunday school teachers to be the ones who are discipling your kids. It should be you. It needs to be you. If you donโt know, read the Word. If you donโt know where to start join a church and get into a study where you can ask questions and then teach what you learned to your kids.
The enemy has a slick way of creeping into our minds and the minds of our children if we let him. Be on guard.
Keep your eyes open. We are at war.
