So many people have asked about my ; whether I like it or whether it’s worth the money. The answer is ABSOLUTELY, and if you can afford it. 🙂
I got my Tonal over a year ago, but it wasn’t until recently I really started putting it to use. I enjoy free weights so I was never too interested in the classes (although the ones I’ve taken are excellent). It wasn’t till a friend suggest that I crest my own custom workouts that I started really enjoying the machine. At night I create custom lifting workouts based on my muscle fatigue. Tonal tells you which muscles are fatigued, in recovery or fresh and then I make a workout around that.
I though I’d make a quick video on here to o go over some high-level things I like about the Tonal. Its not cheap, it’s around $4500 including the accessories (which you’ll want), but they do have 0% financing (which I took advantage of). This includes home installation (you wouldn’t want to install this yourself).
I still love my free weights, but I save those workouts for the hotel gym. If you’re self-motivated, this device is incredible. If you need group motivation, like physically going to a gym, this wouldn’t be great for you. If you’re competitive (as I am), this would be great for you. Competition against your prior performers in Volume, Strength & Power. There’s multiple lifting modes (which I didn’t go into), that maximize the entire range of motion as you lift. I can’t say enough about this machine.
I hope this helps you if you’re on the fence about purchasing one of these. I would definitely recommend it.
Tonal.com. $3,995 + $495 for Smart Accessories or $84/mo. + $495 for Smart Accessories.
