Definitely a win for commercial center which has brought in hundreds of millions of tax revenue to Las Vegas for many years and more recently the Commercial Center Redevelopment area brings in over 20 million a year in taxes to the county and Commercial Center is the largest Redevelopment District in Clark County

Definitely a great investment in the small business community that has made success of so many startups and long-term Las Vegas businesses for nearly 65 years.

It's nice to see tax money coming back to support the Mom and Pop's of Las Vegas.

Had there been more ongoing Support over the years especially starting back in the late 90s to the mid and early 2000s instead of a plan to tear it all down we would currently see about 200 open and thriving businesses. But we can't go back to the past we must continue to move forward. It's water under the bridge but it's important for the community to know why the commercial center had suffered so much for a period of time and who was the cause of that. We must never forget the Damage Done we can forgive but we must never forget so it doesn't happen again.

That's what commercial center always was a huge business community and Real Las Vegas neighborhood that was thriving for over four decades. Before Redevelopment was looked at. Hopefully this investment will spur on support for the current businesses within the community which are nearly 100 and act as an anchor for the future to draw new and exciting small business owners.

All of the businesses within commercial center are still Mom and Pop's no corporate chains.

If the current Redevelopment should attract a major corporation the difference would be as long as they have family values and act as a small business and still keep Commercial Center small business oriented.

That's what makes commercial center truly special. The commercial center Business Association and Historic Society has truly flourished with its long-term Vision since 2007 much of what was affirmed and envision has come to life there have been more losses than we would have liked to see. The story about the commercial Arts building also was not completely accurate yes it was one of our older buildings but it wasn't in need to be torn down just within the past decade it had been thriving with businesses and under previous ownership Josh Michaely before they sold to Mr Luis Chang had been nearly 100% full and flourishing. Sometimes poor ownership can lead to a neighborhood ruin and creating obsolescence of a building when there was none before.

Unfortunately the legacy of Leo Frey who built the commercial Arts building and who was one of the supporters to create the state of Israel and even spent time in a Indian jail because and who was once a one-time owner of the Moulin Rouge of it and although his reputation in Las Vegas was quite controversial at times is now but a memory most of our mid-century modern architecture is now lost to history in Las Vegas.

Many years ago in the first introductory letters to business and Property Owners and to the county I proposed a pathway to attract new customers and business to stabilize property values and increase property value and the owners that took action saw a great benefit. It was a very simple plan at the time do all the maintenance on your buildings paint your buildings create websites to promote your tenants have regular meetings to boost morale and create community install directories at the buildings work as a unified Force cross promote one another make sure that the parking lot is clean and graffiti free and provide security. Hold events and bring in art to the community. Very simple and easy to do and we have accomplished much of this over the years.

For those that don't know also feng shui treatments were done neighborhood saging and cleansing and healing ceremonies were done artwork was installed to uplift the community and discourage graffiti and a community was brought together for those who were interested kudos to the business owners who attended The Business Association meetings and gave contributions to make their neighborhood a better place they have always been the reason that commercial center has succeeded as long as it has

There are many who do not see the vision who simply would just operate their business but never contribute beyond their own front door. But if you work hard if you knock on enough doors you will eventually find those whose hearts that are big enough and open enough and willing to help I truly believe that 90% of the work in the world is done by 10% of the people. But with that beginning what happened over time was then 20% and 30% and then 50% participatiin and it would appear at this time there's at least 50 to 70% property owner participation and as far as business owners we've still seen at least 10% show up to participate.

Sometimes people don't know what's best for them and they make bad choices. But for those who are showing up the 10% they can be examples of how to build community how to work within community and never give up always stay hopeful.

When we look at it as a whole commercial center has employed thousands of Las Vegas and housed hundreds of small business owners since 1963 that is no small feat and certainly a huge contribution to Clark County and Las Vegas not only in small business but as a landmark of history as well during the mob era and for over 6 decades

🌈 **WELCOME TO MY UNIVERSE — AND THE RAINBOWSPHERE OF LOVE!** 🌈

I’m updating my personal page and gathering together the many pieces of my life’s work in one place. I invite you to explore, click around, share, and discover some of what I have been creating and building for more than 30 years.

My work has taken many forms, but the thread running through all of it has remained the same: **community, healing, creativity, spirituality, advocacy, preservation, and love.**

✨ In Las Vegas’ Historic Commercial Center, I have worked for decades to preserve and revitalize one of our city’s most historic and iconic neighborhoods — a place that has been home to more than 200 mom-and-pop businesses since 1963.

🎨 Through **Free Park & Art**, beginning in 2007, I helped curate the first major mural projects in Commercial Center, bringing artists together and helping ignite a new era of public art in the neighborhood.

💅 Through **A Harmony Nail Spa & Wellness Center**, established in Commercial Center in 2004, I have spent more than two decades providing beauty, wellness, healing services, employment, and community.

🏙️ Through the **Commercial Center Business Association & Historic Society**, I have worked to bring businesses, property owners, artists, neighbors, and community leaders together since the mid-2000s to advocate for and preserve this extraordinary district.

📚 Through my writing, including **The Nature of Miracles**, I explore spirituality, synchronicity, healing, purpose, and the extraordinary possibilities hidden inside ordinary life.

🎶 Through my music, I continue telling stories of recovery, faith, love, healing, and transformation.

🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Through **Universal Rainbow Faith Church**, I am helping build a spiritual home where LGBTQIA+ people are fully affirmed and where **gender identity and gender expression are recognized as sacred and holy**. 25 YEARS LATER, AMERICA REMEMBERS

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, the Commercial Center Business Association & Historic Society joins communities throughout Las Vegas and across our nation in remembrance.

We honor the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were taken, the families and friends who lost someone they loved, the survivors, and the first responders who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape it.

History is not simply something preserved in photographs, buildings and archives.

History is the story of people.

September 11 is part of our collective history, and remembering it also asks us to remember the compassion, courage and extraordinary acts of humanity that emerged during one of America's darkest days.

Twenty-five years later, may we continue building communities where neighbors look after neighbors and where our differences never become greater than our humanity.

What if the signs, synchronicities, dreams, people, places, and unexpected moments in our lives are pointing toward something greater?
This Sunday, I am honored to return to Unity of Las Vegas to share “Miracles: Big or Small — You Decide: Discovering the Divine Blueprint in Everyday Life.”
This message continues the journey I began last year with Serendipity, Synchronicity & Silence, but this time the question goes even deeper:
What are the signs actually pointing toward?
While preparing for this talk, I opened The Nature of Miracles to an entry dated September 6, 2002 — exactly 24 years before I would be speaking again on September 6, 2026.
In that entry, I asked God for a map, instructions, a Divine schedule, and a manual for living.
Then something even more extraordinary happened.
While going through old files, I rediscovered pages I had created later that very same day — September 6, 2002 at 1:00 PM — titled:
DIVINE PROJECTS
On those pages were 47 Divine Projects and Divine Business Plans.
Twenty-four years later, many of them have happened.
Some happened almost exactly as I wrote them.
Some changed names.
Some merged with other ideas.
Some became businesses.
Some became books.
Some became ministries.
Some became recovery service.
Some became community projects.
Some became spiritual work.
And some are still waiting for me.
I had forgotten those pages even existed.
But apparently the blueprint hadn’t forgotten me.
The journey also reaches back 25 years to Carmel, California, Polaris Gallery, a mysterious returning relic, my brother Sherman, dreams, prayer, Reiki and healing, Deborah, flowers, angels, and moments of timing that still make me stop and wonder.
And then, while I was literally finishing this talk and completing the slides, I found an old, folded and tattered message underneath my office chair. I had apparently been rolling over it without knowing it was there.
When I opened it, it read:
“YOU ARE THE GUIDING STAR OF HIS EXISTENCE.”
And then came one more realization.
The woman I met in Carmel all those years ago owned a shop called Polaris Gallery.
Until today, I had never consciously realized:
Polaris is the North Star — the guiding star.
The very star that has helped people find their direction for generations.
So once again I ask:
Miracle?
Coincidence?
Synchronicity?
Spirit?
God?
YOU DECIDE.
Perhaps the miracle is the sign.
Perhaps the Divine Blueprint is what it is pointing toward.
Sometimes we don’t see the blueprint until we look back.
Sometimes a miracle begins decades earlier.
Sometimes we are somebody else’s miracle.
Sometimes the answer comes through a dream.
Sometimes it comes through a stranger.
Sometimes it comes through an ordinary object.
And sometimes we discover that we are standing in the middle of a miracle whose ending hasn’t happened yet.
My invitation this Sunday is simple:
PAY ATTENTION.
And remember:
You don’t need the entire blueprint.
You only need the next step.
At the end of the message, I will also share a special blessing:
May you always find your Polaris —
your North Star —
to guide you now and throughout Eternity.
