What a wonderful First Friday art walk! Carrie Williams painted live in the shop, Anastasia Shirpani’s fiber work in the gallery, and I made some Baklava with local honey!(We have more for sale until it runs out). I’m loving Carries small oil painting of an Afghani dress she spotted on the wall!

This beauty is a richly patterned and dyed vintage rug from the Beni M’Guild tribe of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains. Shades of plum, persimmon, olive, burgundy and indigo in complex geometric patterns. The rug is intentionally reversible with a pile weave on the front, and flat weave rich with detail on the back side. This rug measures 10’x 6’

A happy pile of color! These Peruvian frazadas i are headed to New Mexico this week.
I was lucky to connect with a textile dealer who took me shopping virtually in Peru’s Sacred valley. I’m looking forward to meeting them soon and sharing these treasures with you!

A beautiful 1920’s Navaho rug in the shop from our own collection. The poppy red color was naturally dyed with cochineal, alternating with natural wool stripes. This rug displays amazing craftsmanship and is in wonderful condition!
