🎃 Pick your fall personality.

Are we going spooky season with spiders, skulls, potions and a little bit of plant magic? 🕷️💀🌿

Or are we going cozy fall with pumpkins, sunflowers and all the warm autumn colors? 🍂🌻

Good news: apparently we couldn't decide either. 😂
The shop is all dressed up for fall, so make sure you wander inside while you're here—there are plenty of plants, pots, silks and seasonal goodies tucked in among the displays.

🌿💀 Life at Lakeside UnEdited: A Little Terrarium Resurrection!

Last Halloween, we made some delightfully eerie little moss and succulent terrariums. A whole year later, one of them was ready for a little TLC.

So naturally, we're bringing it back from the dead. 🧟‍♀️😂

In this episode of Life at Lakeside UnEdited, we're taking apart last year's creation, seeing what survived, and giving our tiny spooky world a fresh start with a little moss, a few plants, and some creative rearranging.

Because that's one of our favorite things about working with living plants: just because a project needs a little attention doesn't mean it's finished!

It's Freddy Friday! 🎃🍂

Freddy has been waiting patiently all year for this.

The mums are blooming.
The pumpkins are out.
Fall has arrived at Lakeside.

And apparently so has Freddy's seasonal personality.

Your fall planter doesn't have to be a mum.

We love mums. Obviously. We grow approximately seven billion of them. 😂 Ok, ok, seven thousand. Literally.

But fall containers can do a whole lot more.

We're loving this mix of shapes and textures—and most of this planter is tough enough to keep going right through our winter—the blue graptopetalum is the exception, so we'd transplant that guy into a housepot before a hard freeze.

So instead of thinking of fall containers as something that only needs to look good for October, build one that can keep changing with the season. Or let us do it for you!

🐝 The bees have been VERY busy at Lakeside!
We caught these guys absolutely going to town on the celosia—and speaking of busy bees… 🍯
Did you know we also carry local honey from Pollen Fairy Apiary, right here in the shop?

We love watching the pollinators enjoying the flowers we're growing almost as much as we love getting to support another local producer. 💛

So while you're wandering the greenhouse, stop and watch the bees for a minute—then grab a jar of local honey on your way out!

🕸️🌿 YES, YOU GET TO MAKE ONE OF THESE.

This Saturday we're getting a little weird in the greenhouse with Eerie Moss Terrariums—tiny living worlds filled with moss, succulents and just enough spooky little details for October.

Everyone gets to create their own terrarium to take home, and you can even bring a favorite jar of your own if you've got one begging to become something strange. We'll have jars here, too!

No experience needed. We'll have the plants, moss, materials and creepy little bits—you just come ready to make something.
