A little shout-out for Mid-Atlantic Bird Rescue! ❤️🦜

If you've been thinking about adding a feathered friend to your family, they still have several rescued lovebirds looking for forever homes, and I believe they may also have a couple of green-cheek conures available.

These birds were rescued after authorities removed them from a Baltimore pet store due to poor conditions. They deserve a second chance with loving families.

I adopted my sweet Minnie Pearl from Amanda, and I couldn't be happier. Amanda truly cares about every bird in her rescue and works hard to make sure they're healthy and placed in the right homes. You can tell her heart is in what she does.

If you've been considering adopting, please think about giving one of these wonderful birds a chance. Rescue birds have so much love to give. ❤️

Today at 5:30, I locked the door of The Laurel Exchange & Studio for the very last time.
It’s hard to put into words what this place meant to me. It was more than a shop… it was a little dream that came to life. A space where creativity, laughter, and community could all exist under one roof.
To every single person who supported me—whether you shopped, painted ceramics, brought your kids in, shared a post, or simply cheered me on—thank you. You helped make this place something truly special, and I will always be grateful for that.
I do want to say this, small businesses don’t survive without consistent local support. I truly believe this shop could have stayed open if that support had been stronger. That’s not said with anger, just with truth and a hopeful reminder to support the small businesses you love while they’re still here.
Even though the doors are closed, I’m incredibly proud of what this little shop was and the joy it brought to so many.
From the bottom of my heart… thank you. ❤️
