🍂 Fall is making its way into the booth! 🌻💛

We were so excited to see Mount Pilot Antiques featured in a recent video by the Carolina Travel Channel — and even more excited to spot one of our booths in the video! 🥰

My sister Denise has been slowly easing into fall at the Pilot Mountain booth, and she’s doing it the best way she knows how — with sunflowers, warm yellows, and all those cozy little touches that make you want to welcome autumn right in. 🌻🍂

It may still feel like summer outside, but inside the booth, fall is definitely starting to peek through! And honestly… we’re not mad about it. 😉

If you’re visiting Mount Pilot Antiques, be sure to stop by and see what Denise has been adding for the season!

💭 WHAT IF… this old vanity got a whole new personality?

I couldn’t leave this one behind… but now I’m trying to decide what she wants to become. 👀

She’s got the curves.
She’s got the vintage charm.
She’s got that beautiful old mirror.

But what if we gave her a completely new look? 🤔

What if we:

🌿 Painted her a soft sage green?
🤍 Went with a creamy vintage finish?
🖤 Kept the dark wood and gave her a little refresh?
✨ Added new hardware and let the details shine?

Or maybe we shouldn’t paint her at all?

That’s the fun — sometimes the hardest part isn’t finding the piece. It’s figuring out what it wants to become!

So I’m asking for your help this week:

👇 WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THIS VANITY?

A — Paint it
B — Keep the wood
C — Something completely different

And if you would paint it, what color would you choose?

Let’s see what the Sisters Sass & Salvage crew comes up with before I make the decision! 😂

🏺 “This week’s treasure hunt”

You know we can’t go treasure hunting without bringing something home! 😂

Here’s a peek at a few of the things I found this week while Denise is off in California.

I don’t always know exactly where a piece will end up when I find it. Sometimes I know immediately. Sometimes it sits in my workshop until I figure out what it wants to become.

That’s half the fun of what we do!

Which one would you have brought home?

👇 Tell me your favorite!

We may have been bitten by the sewing bug! 🧵😂

I’ve been experimenting with turning some of our pretty fabric finds into something useful — and these little fabric key rings were the result!

Every one is a little different, which is exactly what I love about using vintage and leftover fabrics. No two pieces have to be exactly alike.

I’m still learning, experimenting and figuring out what works best, but that’s part of the fun!

And honestly…who doesn’t need a cute key ring? 😉

Which fabric would you choose?

💜 Purple polka dots
🌸 Floral
💙 Blue
❤️ Stripes

🎃Help Me Finish This One!

A little vintage charm + a little creativity = something completely new. 🎃

I spent some time in the workshop today working on this wooden board, and I couldn’t resist giving it a little fall personality!

The engraving is finished, but I’m not quite ready to call this one done yet. I’m trying to decide what to do with the inset around the pumpkin design.

Should I:

🤎 Leave it natural — just add a beautiful food-safe finish and let the wood and engraving speak for themselves?

🍂 Add a little color to the inset — something subtle to make the pumpkin design really pop?

I’m honestly torn! I love the simplicity of the natural wood, but I also think a touch of color could give it a little extra personality.

So I’m putting the decision in your hands! 👇

A — Keep it natural
B — Add a little color

What would YOU do?

Once I decide, I’ll add the finishing touches and show you the finished piece. 😉
