I have tried to read this book six times. Each time, I get sidetracked by another book or project and because it is so popular, I can't renew it. My time with it quickly passes and then I have to put it on hold again.

If I'm really real with myself, I keep putting it off because it reminds me a lot of some amazing friends I was once very privileged to have.

In college I had friends and, even better, friends that played DnD and larped. Friends so wonderful and kind that they held my noob little hand through these amazing experiences and even taught me Magic the Gathering.

I read this book and think of them too much, love them, and miss them, which is what good books are supposed to do.

Will I make it through this seventh time around? Maybe. Or maybe I'll give up and buy it and keep sipping at it bit by bit using those moments to remember some great people and fantastic times.

A library lover's (pun intended) dilemma.

How did I get two of these books? Well, at 2AM I needed to be sure I had the next books in the series ASAP.

Thank you to the amazing collection of the Northeast Kansas Library System.

Also, if you're a person who loves books mentioned in other books (and then book titles that are puns of other books) my gosh, RUN, to snag this series by I have some not so serious concerns. It's become my whole personality.

I have been reading by the gob load lately. Between audiobooks, books with the kids, work reading, and personal reading.

I think I banked my a month ago.

We've checked this book out twice from the library. The first time my daughter spotted it on the shelf. We checked it out. She read it and reread it.

A couple of weeks ago she asked to check it back out again. I watched her and my son pass it back and forth for the span of about a week reading and rereading it.

They left for camp on Monday and made me promise that I would read it while they were gone. They did a great job of pitching this book to me and I couldn't resist.

Dragonborn by Struan Murray is really good. I'm only seven chapters in and I'm so invested in the characters. I would have loved to have a book like this when I was a little girl.

A quick weekend read, The Barefoot Bookshop on the Beach by Rebecca Raisin - Author is just a book lover's dream. Is there really a bookstore on the sand somewhere?!
