The news of Dolly Parton's passing is a national gut punch. A committed songwriter, Dolly was also a champion of children's literacy, a cause she attributed to her father, who was never taught. As an independent bookstore, we know the joy and the power of reading. We thank Dolly for the work she and her Imagination Library did and do every day to encourage children to love the words on the page. We honor her by continuing to the fight for the freedom to read. RIP, Dolly 💞🕊

Our booksellers love their heartfelt debut novel, Canon, which has received critical acclaim from many outlets and writers Lawrence readers revere.
