Neurodiversity is a variation in how the human brain functions. Here at Amazin Creations we spotlight neurodiversity because the individuals classified as such are the epitome of an Amazin Creation.

We believe their brains are wired amazingly to process things creatively. Neurodiverse people receive and experience the world in an unique way and in our eyes that’s AMAZIN!

Food for Thought:
Instead of asking them to conform to society, how about we ask society to accommodate their needs. We can start by learning more about what it means to be neurodiverse.

I’ll start… here is a depiction (made by my awesome graphic designer ) of a brain filled with a few types of neurodiversity. It includes the iconic infinity symbol which represents the neurodiverse community.

It’s a new year and a new day! If you’re reading this post, you have been granted the privilege of more life so let us emerge.

Let’s be present, let’s be aware and let’s make change. Let’s do this thing called life to the best of our abilities and show the world our greatness!

Michaels + Ms Creative CEO Presents...

My craft mentor, Karen Baxter (who is also a Michaels National Instructor) is doing a 12 part series on the Michaels platform which is a HUGE deal in the crafting community!

She will be the FIRST BLACK WOMAN to do a series of this caliber. We need ALL the support we can get so that people, like me, can one day be on that national stage. Our circle is filled with many creative female artisans and we are trying to show up in numbers so that we have more representation in craft stores.

The more people that register and attend these classes, the more inclined Michaels may be to extend the series so that Karen can put more artisans on the map.
