Coyote Rocketry A model rocketry page that showcases real missiles and rocket and my attempts to recreate them In smaller versions (Scale / Sport Scale)

Hello Everyone,

Got some questions for our fellow craftsmen.

If I was to produce a custom sport scale kit(s) for and only available at Grits, what kits would you suggest? Thinking of producing 4 kits for the event. Can be any kit, Old Estes, Century, FSI etc.
The kits will be up scaled to a a minimum of 4" dia. I personally love sport scale kits so lets go along this line. If not enough interest in scale kits why note up scale versions of Estes/Centuri

Looking for suggestions. Will probably suggest this at the meeting on Thursday. One note. though I loved that Estes was able to generate the Alpha model for NARAM 60, my offering will be a 4" minimal diameter kit.

Or maybe re-create OOP kits only sold at the event. Let's say 10 models

Please note that a business cannot survive on the interest of it's owner, he MUST remember the customer as they decide whether he lives or dies.

So let me know what you think.

Keith

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last year, but I've finally got clearance from my doctors to pursue a normal life. Well as normal as it can be.

With plenty of time on my hands now, I would like to start an itty bitty rocket company.

I would like to create very limited runs of Giant Scale kits, detail to ultra-detailed, (E-G Mid-Power Range)

Possible 1 to 2 kits per quarter - 10 to 20 kits per run.

US and Soviet Era / Modern Russian missiles will be focus.

Building will with be a mixture of conventional, 3D printed, fiberglass and molded plastic components.

Look for announcements starting in late May or early June for information on the kits that will be offered,.

If you have an interest in any particular model, let me know. I'll raffle off a NCR Laserhawk in June for those that respond to this post.

Until then, Fly straight and God Speed.

Hello All,

Sorry for the absence, but job changes has put my rocketry hobby on hold. Since my employment has finally stabilized, I'm looking forward to the new rocketry year.

For those interested, the NCR events have been posted:

1/2A B/G
1/2A SD
1/2A HD
1/2A PD
1/2A ALT
B Payload

https://www.nar.org/nrc-events-for-2019-2020-contest-year-announced/

This year I'll be sponsoring the NCR events for those who would like to participate. NAR membership will not be required, but if you would like your results to count towards NARAM you will need a NAR membership. If you like your results to count for SoAR then you need to be a SoAR member in good standing.

Once the NARAM 62 events are announced, I will include them as will.

Prizes will be numerous and impressive, so lets participate! If I stay employed this year, some I might include a number of NARAM 62 packages!

More details will follow within the next couple of weeks .

Let me know what you think.

George, I will need to get with you on Thursday for your counsel and leadership for this event.

See you Thursday,

Hello Everyone,

As I'm slowly getting back on my feet, I've had a lot of time to think about the upcoming year for SOAR.

This year I would like to promote NAR membership and competition. I'm heading to NARAM 61 in Indiana and need to brush up on my competition flying skills.

The National Rocketry Competition (NRC) events for 2018-2019 are as follows:

1/4A Parachute Duration
1/4A Helicopter Duration
A Boost Glider Duration
B Payload Altitude
B Eggloft Duration
C Eggloft Altitude

The events can be flown at any SoAR launch and follow the NAR sanctioned rules with the following exception: model need not be returned if it resents a hazard. If the model is not returned for inspection, 1/4 of the time will be reduced on duration and 1/4 of the altitude will be reduce on such events.

* For SoAR members that are also NAR members, your flights can be applied to the NAR competition for the National Championship.

Records will be kept and winners will be announced in July.

Before I forget, the Sport Scale contest that was scheduled for last year will be held in July. A preliminary practice Sport Scale event will be held in April to get everyone familiar with the event and improve their building skills.

Of course, if your model nose dives, catos or flies not according to plan and it's caught on video, a special honorary award will be presented and posted for the world to see!

Let me know what you think,
