I’ve been trying to find the words ever since this weekend ended.
What we celebrated wasn’t just Amethyst & Ink Books turning one, it was a year of friendships, community, and a dream that became so much bigger than I ever imagined.
To every customer, friend, family member, author, vendor, volunteer, and fellow small business owner who celebrated with us… thank you. You filled our bookstore with so much love that I still can’t quite believe it.
A heartfelt thank you to Top of the Flour, Cakes by Cheryl, and Bitez by Roxi for making our celebration extra sweet.
To my incredible vendors, Meraki & Mischief, The Crystal Ivy, Wookie Labs, Trish, Weeds & Wildflowers, Ellivy Emporium, Twisted Yarnies, and every maker who trusts us with your work, thank you for helping make Amethyst & Ink unlike any other bookstore.
To the Lawton Business Women, my wonderful friends and regulars, and everyone who surprised us with flowers, gifts, plants, and thoughtful keepsakes… every single one brought me to tears.
To Merrily Mary, thank you for our beautiful new hutch. It truly feels like the piece that completed our bookstore.
To my amazing friends including but not limiting Badriyah, Lex, Kel, Lori, Bethany, Val, Tonya, Trey, Sasha, and Carey, thank you for showing up in every possible way. You kept me going, reminded me to eat, helped me prepare, calmed my chaos, and loved this bookstore as if it were your own.
To my husband and my children… thank you for sacrificing so much so I could chase this dream.
Lastly, thank you to EVERYONE who has ever stepped foot inside our doors! We would not be here still if it weren’t for YOU!
This bookstore may have started with me, but it was built by a community.
From the bottom of my heart… thank you for making our first year unforgettable.
