***DINING TABLE BY REID HANSEN***
Reid made this beautiful dining table and bench from a couple of Walnut live edge slabs he purchased from me. I love seeing how a couple of dirty roughsawn slabs can turn into something so pretty. I am fortunate to be a part of this process, even if it is just providing the lumber.

***4/4 BIRDSEYE MAPLE***
Currently, I have a good selection of 4/4 Birdseye Maple.

Did you know:
Birdseye Maple is almost always a Hard Maple while Curly or Fiddleback Maple is almost always a Soft Maple.
Birdseye grain pattern is found in only about 1% of Hard Maple trees.

***WHITE OAK DINING TABLE BY SPENCER HEINER***

Spencer Heiner made this table for his daughter using a pair of White Oak live edge planks and another for the bench.

Spencer does great work and I enjoy seeing what he does with lumber he purchases from me.

You can check out Spencer’s work on facebook and Instagram at:

***BIG WALNUT SLAB #2***

A few weeks ago I posted about some large Walnut live edge slabs that Jim brought out. This is the second slab in that stack. It is 3-1/2” thick, 134” long, and is almost 40” wide on the ends and 32” wide in the middle. This slab has it all. An interesting void on one end, some odd knots and holes along with some very nice grain flow and color.

It has a total of 108 BF. Price for these bigger slabs is $14 per BF.

***NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR WOODWORKERS***

Chris Jones of Katalox Woodshop is asking for woodworkers or people interested in woodworking from Davis and Weber counties to go online and take a quick survey concerning their interest in a community woodshop or maker’s space in the area. The benefit to this type of workshop is being able to work with bigger and better tools and more workspace than a person might have at home. Generally these shops are members only shops with classes open to the public.
Here is the link to the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdVctulUxM-ae159MmSHkF852llAZWMESMJFO3EYNlwn_1iHw/viewform?usp=header

Thank you for your participation.

Jim and I are working with Travis Floyd in Lehi to provide dimensional lumber and live edge slabs to woodworkers in Utah Valley. These images are some examples of the lumber that Travis currently has available. The lumber he is selling comes from the same sources as what I am selling in Layton. I hope you have a chance to check out what he has.

***COFFEE TABLE BY JULIE AT GOT OLD WOOD***
Julie took a large Walnut cookie that Jim and I provided and created a beautiful coffee table. Most people would have filled the void with epoxy, but Julie’s customer wanted it without. What many people think of as flaws are the focal points of this table. The sap wood with the cracks is stunning. The void in the middle is interesting and unique. I love this table.

I still have several of these cookies. They average about 40” across and most are 3-1/2” thick.

***END TABLES BY JEREMIAH WARNIMONT***
Jeremiah made these two end tables out of Black Walnut he purchased from me. I like how he kept the live edge on the top edge of one side. These tables were finished with tung oil.
