It all started with a woman and her love for coffee and cooking. This woman had a wonderful husband and army of beautiful children however, something was missing. She needed to be home with her family, yet provide for them as well. So she used her two passions to do so, coffee and cooking. She was not just going to serve coffee to customers, she was going to cook it herself and poor her heart into
it. She self taught herself to roast coffee through books and her love of learning. She was going to roast exotic, organic and fairly traded beans. These beans had to be the best of the best, her coffee had to taste as amazing as the food she served to her family. She would roast each batch, craft style in small batches. Her customers would taste the love put into each bag. Her coffee would also shine with no added pesticides! Her customers would learn all about each coffee she roasted, where it came from, how it was grown and how the farmers were given fair wages for their crops. This woman wanted the natural flavors in her beans to be at top notch, so she knew lighter and medium to medium dark roasts would do the trick. Never serve burnt and bitter over roasted coffee, just as never serving burnt food to her family. This woman thought about how she loved her family and her coffee so much she needed to bring the two together....this is how WE became Lead Me To Higher Grounds. Love, The Canida Clan
