Sometimes, simple really is better. 🖼️✨

With artwork this detailed and a palette of essentially just graphite and white, the goal was to let the art speak for itself.

Even better, this customer found the perfect frame right in our ready-made frame section, so no custom ordering was needed! We painted the frame to complement the graphite tones, then paired it with a mat whose inner bevel matched beautifully.

The result is simple, elegant, and completely cohesive.

Custom framing doesn’t always mean starting from scratch. Sometimes the perfect solution is already hanging on our wall, and we just need to make it yours!

We have new Art Classes!

Marzena Oberc will begin a new acrylics class on Wednesday afternoons, using "OPEN" acrylics that are earlier to manipulate than the regular kind. She has extensive education in painting and many years experience in teaching.

George Gonzalez of Gonzalez Studios has opened up a new oil class on Wednesday mornings. He has taught classes here at Upper Bay for over 15 years and is demand as both an artist and teacher.

Pam Hatch, who has been teaching for many years, is opening a Tuesday morning class teaching pastels and acrylics. That class will begin on October 6. She has been drawing and painting since childhood and you can see her beautiful work in our gallery at Upper Bay.
