After much prayer and many difficult conversations, it is with great sadness that we announce this will be our last week open.
We have made the incredibly hard decision to either sell the store as a whole or hold a final liquidation sale if a buyer isn’t found.
At this time, we are still working toward selling the business. Please note that the building is not for sale—only available for rent. The business, inventory, fixtures, and everything we’ve built are what we’re hoping to pass on to someone who can continue serving our wonderful community.
This decision has not been easy. We’ve been pondering it for quite some time, and it truly breaks my heart. My greatest hope is that someone will take over and continue providing the things Leakey needs and loves.
Unfortunately, with my health continuing to decline, I am no longer able to keep up with the physical and financial demands of running the store.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who has walked through our doors, shopped with us, supported us, shared our posts, and encouraged us along the way. Your kindness and support have meant more than you’ll ever know.
From time to time, I will set up my dirty soda drinks on the square and I will also still be taking custom shirt orders!
