Jinny’s story reached me most through a crazy quilt, pieced slowly over years from bits of fabric, ribbon, and fancy stitches. This collection grew from that same spirit of handwork and layered history.

In these fabrics you’ll find cross stitch florals, ornate arches, playful gingham checks, scattered dots, and small ditsy blooms, in a palette that moves from warm pink and coral into gold and mustard, then settles into charcoal, black, and cream. The little stitch marks throughout carry the feeling of the fancy handwork on Jinny’s quilt.

Jinny is in shops now, and the fat quarter bundle pictured here is a lovely way to start if you’d like to bring some of this palette into your own work. This fall we’ll also be hosting the Collected Workshop and sew along inspired by her story. More on that soon.

Locals! This post is for you!

Did you know there is a new retreat center a short drive from Leavenworth?! This past weekend Tosha and I crossed the blue bridge and headed to Parkville to check out My Sister’s Sewing Sanctuary right outside the historic downtown! Perched up high in the hills along the Missouri River is a view you will not forget! Perfect for your favorite group of 12 sewist- these sisters have thought of everything! The rooms are cute and the sewing area is spacious with a full kitchen! Be sure to give them a follow and watch for different retreats they are planning this fall!

Congratulations to the crew of My Sisters Sewing Sanctuary! Gorgeous job! Can’t wait to come back!

⭐️Young entrepreneurs are the absolute BEST⭐️

Our youngest is my niece Zoë who makes these fabulously colorful 3D printed binding spools and seam pressers! She happens to be in the shop a few days this week so be sure to stop in and say hi! She would love to see you. She also brought a HUGE restock of her binding spools well! 🌈
