SUNDAY RESET. 🤎

We’re closed today, but the candles are lit and the house smells like Vanilla Woods.

It’s a projects and catch-up kind of Sunday over here. Cleaning, tackling a few things around the house, and getting ready for the week ahead.

I’m using our Vanilla Woods Mop Soap + All Purpose Cleaner, and it’s one of those scents that makes the whole house feel warmer, cozier, and somehow a little more put together. ✨

There’s nothing better than finishing the chores, lighting a candle, and finally getting to enjoy the clean house.

Okayyyy… are we ready for LARGE FALL CANDLES?! 🍂🕯️

Because this rainy morning has me thinking about cooler days, cozy houses, and candles burning basically ALL day long.

Our 14 oz. 3-wick soy candles are coming back, and we’ll begin pouring them Tuesday!

🕯️ CANDLE CARE 101: Trim. Your. Wick. ✂️

It’s one of those little things we don’t always think about, but with soy candles, wick care makes a BIG difference.

Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch.

Why?

✨ Helps your candle burn slower + more evenly
✨ Keeps the flame from getting too large
✨ Reduces soot and smoke
✨ Helps prevent that little “mushroom” from forming on the wick
✨ And ultimately helps you get the most life out of your candle

If your candle starts flickering like crazy, smoking, or the flame is looking a little too enthusiastic… chances are your wick needs a trim. 😆

A few Fire + Fern candle rules:
🕯️ Let your wax melt all the way to the edges on that first burn when possible.
✂️ Trim to ¼” before lighting again.
⏰ Don’t burn for more than about 3–4 hours at a time.
🤍 And pleaseeee don’t leave your candle burning unattended.

Take care of your candle and she’ll take care of you. 🌿

If you have pets, you already know what that means…

🐾 Muddy paws.
🐾 Wet dog smell.
🐾 Floors that were clean for approximately four minutes. 😅
